EPIX is an online game exclusively written and designed to increase the anticipation for GAMESCOM –
the world's largest gaming event.
At EPIX users can loot, level and complete individual quests to unlock real life rewards from partners integrated in the game.

Given the hybrid nature of GAMESCOM 2022 being both in-person and remote, hybrid quests even allowed fans to participate online and on-site, making EPIX an immersive experience. The fans loved it so much that Karl ended up only 48th in the leaderboard  –
in the game he wrote himself.
